NDA [National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Exam]

About NDA:

NDA means National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Exam.NDA all through Recruitment of candidates to Army, Navy and Air force wing of National defence Academy (NDA). NDA exam is conducted by UPSC. Union Public service commission (UPSC) will be conducts NDA I and NDA II exam for selection of the candidates in the Nation.NDA Exam is conduct in two time in a year.NDA II examination will be conduct in the month of September for approx 135th course and  approx 95th India Naval Academy course commencing in the month of July. NDA Selected of approximately 400 candidates for Army, Navy, and Air force. A Candidate must be unmarried. NDA Eligibility Criteria:

  • A candidates must either be- a) a citizen of India, b) a subject of Bhutan, c) a subject of Nepal, d) a Tibetan refugee who came over India before the 1St January,1962 with the intention of permanently settle in India, or e) a person of India who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settle in India.

Note: Provided that a candidates belonging to categories (a), (b), (c), and (d) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by Govt of India. Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.

  • Education qualification:
  1. For army: 12th pass of school education or correspondent examination conducted by State Board or University
  2. for Air Force and Navy (Navel): 12th pass of school education or correspondent with physics and Mathematics conducted by State Board or University
  • Candidates who want to apply for NDA I must be born between July, 1997 and July, 2000.and NDA II must be born between January, 1998 and January, 2001.
  • A candidates must be unmarried.( must not marry until they complete their training)

NDA Selection Process:

  • Qualify candidates have to appear in the written exam.
  • After qualify candidates is conducted in two stages-1.contains of (OIR) Officer Intelligence Rating test, picture perception and Description test. 2. Group testing Officer Tasks, interview, Psychology test and Conference at the SSB centres.

NDA Application fees:

Candidates who want apply for NDA exam must pay application fee by via cash or online net Banking.

  • The application fee is Rs.100/-
  • The Women/SC/ST/Physically Handicapped category candidates will be exempted from application fees.

Candidates who apply for NDA exam must fill up the application form. For those candidates have to follow the below given steps:

  • First, all candidates visit the official website. Then find and click the NDA exam application form.
  • This is a complete the online application form of two Stages –NDA I and NDA II.
  • Now filling up all the details and pay the application fee by cash or net banking facility.
